With such a low print-run, I’m fairly certain these were sold out via pre-order weeks in advance (which sort of makes the January 29 media embargo for previews a bit of a head-scratcher).

I assume it is to promote the next ultra-limited edition moreso than to sell this one. At least that makes the media embargo and late preview/news make sense. You’re probably right that it was sold out ahead of time which should push the resale price through the roof.
